Coaching and Support

Through our coaching, you will gain a deep understanding of how to manage your work-life balance effectively. Here's how my services can help you with:
  • 1-to-1 Support - Receive direct coaching to help you navigate workplace challenges and communicate your needs effectively.
  • 2-to-1 Support - Benefit from joint sessions with your employer to facilitate understanding and support throughout the process.
  • Organisational Training - Ensure your workplace better understands and supports disability through comprehensive training programs.
By working together, we can create an inclusive, supportive work environment that prioritises your success and well-being.

Disability and Legal Protections

As an individual with a disability, you may be protected under the Equality Act 2010 and the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. Discrimination occurs when someone is treated less favourably due to a long-term physical or mental impairment or another protected characteristic. Struggling physically, cognitively, or psychologically can have a huge impact on your work life. Often, a lack of understanding of your struggles leads to ineffective strategies being implemented. You might adopt coping mechanisms at work out of fear of job loss or a desire to appear capable, but this doesn’t mean you’re not struggling. Insufficient support can lead to burnout, stress, and increased sickness absence.

Promoting an Inclusive Culture

An inclusive culture based on trust and supportiveness will make you feel comfortable discussing your disabilities. Having the opportunity to discuss and create reasonable adjustments enables you to continue working to your full potential while accommodating any extra challenges.

Charlotte’s Story
Thriving with Pam's Coaching

"I’m Charlotte, and I work for the council, leading inspections and improvements. As someone with autism, navigating the complexities of my role was a constant challenge. The sensory overloads, social dynamics, and the need to maintain a façade of normality were overwhelming, leaving me stressed and exhausted. I felt I needed to always be perfect and that is obviously impossible to maintain and left me feeling like I was failing.

Everything changed when I started work-based strategy coaching with Pam. From our very first session, Pam made me feel truly understood and respected. She helped me recognise the importance of clearly and confidently communicating my needs and taught me effective strategies for doing so. Pam helped me to understand that every interaction was a two-way process that both myself and my manager were equally to invest in to get it right.

Pam provided a comprehensive workplace and reasonable accommodation assessment, identifying areas where adjustments could be made to support my needs. This led to changes in my working hours and patterns as well as a reduction in my face-to-face office time as well as a designated parking space and flexibility of my start and finish times.

Pam facilitated organisational training for my entire team, promoting an inclusive culture based on trust and support. This training was eye-opening for my colleagues, significantly improving our team dynamics. I felt more comfortable discussing my needs and challenges, knowing I had a supportive team behind me.

Thanks to Pam's coaching, my work life has transformed. I am now more productive and less stressed, and I feel valued and respected in my role. My overall well-being has greatly improved, and I no longer fear job loss or feel the need to hide my struggles. Instead, I have the tools and support I need to excel.

If you’re struggling at work due to a disability, I highly recommend Pam’s coaching services. She helped me unlock my potential, and I’m confident she can do the same for you."
